Enrollment for Fall / Holiday Season Camp 2019 Denver is now open!
This will be our 14th year of hosting the best performing arts programs.  RMCT has created a successful and powerful environment in which young actors can flourish in the Rocky Mountain region.  We look forward to inspiring the youth of Denver with our unique brand of performance training.  Class & Speialty Camp programs with RMCT are a brilliant conservatory-style theatrical training program a grand culmination of experience to celebrate your child's accomplishments, and we are also a price-effective option for parents who wish to keep their kids local without sacrificing quality of training and exposure to seasoned, professional instructors.  It will be an amazing time full of fun and learning experiences for your kids. Our program is designed to provide youth with a place to nurture their creative instinct and develop a connection to the stage, while being guided by RMCT Founder & Artistic Director Anthony Hubert and our amazing staff of instructors. Your children will showcase and improve their talents as they enjoy the season with us at Historic Grant Avenue.  Kids love our fun classes!

This year, we are thrilled to announce Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Conservatory Classes with our production of SCROOGE, THE MUSICAL. This session, our students will continue learning and expanding on the concept of acting deep emotional truth through intensive character development all while rehearsing the song-infused show.

Our Artistic Director Anthony Hubert has been teaching for 25 years, and in this time, he has developed a successful strategy for helping every student realize how crucial classical training is to create a successful life as a professional actor.

Actors Conservatory Class will focus on our acclaimed intensive Actors Conservatory Program, designed to foster the young actor's creative process. Conservatory is the place for the aspiring actor to develop a reliable process of working in film, television and theatre. This is our 14th year of working with young artists in Denver and we have never been more motivated to help bring new actors from our organization into the professional world. Students finish this 10 week intensive course with an emotional, physical, and intellectual transformation while telling the story of Ebenezer Scrooge.

Actors Conservatory Class is a course for those who aspire to be future professional actors. We provide intensive training, with focus ranging from movement to vocal exercises to stage combat and more.  Conservatory class training, in general, is an ongoing process; its purpose is to prepare young actors for the stage, film, and TV.

All students enrolled in this class will be equally involved in the production of SCROOGE. (see schedule). Come be a part of this exceptional work.  It will change your life forever!

All camp registrants will audition on Day 1 of the Class session (or by video if the student has conflicts), and everyone is guaranteed an individualized role in the play.  Each camper should prepare an age-appropriate one-minute monologue and 16-bars (or the chorus for younger students) from a song, if the participant desires to be a part of the Carolers performing throughout the show. *EXAMPLES OF BOTH MONOLOGUES AND SONGS CAN BE FOUND HERE!

Campers will do everything that it takes to put on a show. The rehearsal day is divided into several class blocks with rotating activities including: Acting, Music/Voice, Dance, and Art/Technique. Additionally, Theatre Games and Improv, as well as Specialty classes and Workshops round out the fun. SCROOGE - Ebenezer Scrooge, obsessed with solitude and greed, collides in a nightmare with his own youth and his lost love.  In Frederick Gaines' theatrical adaptation of Charles Dickens' story, Scrooge is visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come.  Carolers sing fragments of joyous songs from the corners of Scrooge's mind, and a little girl with a doll accompanies him on the street and joins him on his dream-journey.  The visiting spirits of Christmas force Scrooge to confront people and scenes from his life that remind him of his friendlessness - he even sees his home and his future corpse being rifled by his own servants.  Finally, he awakens to the reality of Christmas morning and discovers the joy of giving, loving, and caring for others.
